*LONG ENTRY ALERTTTT*

Hello there my fellow cupcake lovers!

emoticon I’ve finally completed my 1st order (!!!!!!)

I was wondering… do you think SG$2.50 per cupcake is expensive? I don’t think it’s really justified to receive a comment like "so ex". I think you should try baking on your own and you’ll experience how it’s like. You’ll come to realise that it’s really about the effort (and it’s alotttt of effort) you put in from scratch till the cupcakes are completed and also the whole experience for the eater/customer, which cannot be measured in monetary terms. PLUS, this is a special order. I surprised Charlene by adding white chocolate into the cupcakes as the ones she ordered are plain vanilla and decorated with special toppings.

On a lighter note, I went to buy baking stuff yesterday and spent 150 bucks! Incredible. I almost died from yesterday’s heat and fever dizzy spells while walking back to the car (it was a longgg walk) with nearly 3kg of stuff tp carry zzZZ emoticon but I’m very pleased that I bought everything that I thought I would need for this order and I really did use what I got!

I’m so excited for Charlene! ♥ I hope her colleagues and her will love the cupcakes *keeps her fingers crossed* She thought my previous cupcakes’ icing was very sweet. This time I made buttercream icing instead of royal icing. Yummmyyyy and I’m in love with fondant* (*Fondant is a sugar paste. Some would peel it off and not eat it as it doesn’t taste very pleasant but it really makes beautiful decorations.) and making it was absolutely….. painstaking. I also handmade little gifts for her (as you can see the materials I bought in my previous entry heh) and her colleagues! emoticon I also did special packing to make sure that they are secure cause I was so afraid….cupcakes are really fragile, especially the icing! It gets really messy. It’s a real pity Cup-a-cake is not for international sale, otherwise I would get them. They are tupperware for cupcakes!

I met buds Weizhi for dinner at Hua Ting today. Was late cause I spent half the day in the kitchen baking! Although late, buds was really nice and patient, and! he got me my Mcqueen scarf! emoticon Thankyou and I’m so glad you and your sister love the cupcakes! ♥

I’m going to bake cookies next. It’s been a longggg while since I baked sugar cookies. Yummmylicious… and I wanna ice them! Can’t wait!

Here are photos of the cupcakes I baked for Charlene today. *Warning: Image Heavy

  4. On Sam:
Heheeeeeee….. I know! The cupcakes took forever to decorate! Really have to be super patient cause I think I took almost an hour man. And don’t get me started on the fondant. I.almost.died.

    On Josh:
Hey there! Glad you liked it. I think it’s sweet mainly cause of the decor (could be chocolate/icingcream/rainbowtoppings). The pink icing is made of buttercream and I think it should taste more buttery than sweet. But it depends though! I didn’t find it sweet cause I have a sweet tooth :P but my sis thought it was a little sweet. And merci beaucoup! I will come up with more creative recipes and pretty cupcakes….so stay tune! :)

  5. Hi sugarina, strangely that I find the chocolate rice is ok to me since I had that at first. Then follow by the flower looking, and yes that icing is .. heh! Nevertheless, the cake is nice! :) I can still rem the taste of that. :)
